The Comanche Diamondbacks Club hosts a no charge snake demonstration Saturday at Lake Banes near the dam in the Bernacle Building. Bobby Foust of the Sweetwater team leads the live-snake exhibit to help ranchers manage rattlesnakes this summer.

Notaries Public Appointment Window Announced
Secretary of State Martin Dies Jr announced that all qualified Notaries Public must file a new oath and bond with the County Clerk between May 1 and May 15 1971 for the term starting June 1 1971 and ending June 1 1973. New applicants should apply before May 14 and must obtain a required form from the County Clerk. Notaries should not send requests directly to the Secretary of State. Castleberry Lions set records at Wichita Falls meet
Fort Worth Castleberry High School Lions under coach Decks dominated the Wichita Falls meet scoring 154 points in every event entered. Perkins Lions also set five meet records in the 440 yard dash 120 hurdles shot put long jump and mile run. Nine Lions qualified for the regional meet with nine performers advancing.
