Memorial Day Plans In Colville Urged Cooperation
Colville prepares a Memorial day program coordinated by the G A R W R C Sons of Democracy and Boy Scouts. Activities include grave decoration at the cemetery, a veterans monument service, a basket dinner, a courthouse lawn assembly, a parade to the opera house, a memorial address by F Leo Grindstead, and a memorial sermon at the M E church.

Move Historic Millstones to Spokane Museum
The old millstones from Arden near Colville were shipped to Spokane to be installed in the Stevens County department of the city museum. Origins include stones from Scotland and one from France. The Spokane museum’s Harl J. Cook funded one stone’s transport, Dale Jones received another as a pioneer relic, and O N Bell aided in locating the relics along with a worn old bible linked to Angus McDonald of the Colville post.

County Pomona Holds Session In Stevens County
The Stevens county Pomona meeting was held May 20 at Bert Curry’s Snowflake ranch near Meyers Falls with about seventy five attendees. Resolutions urged repeal of the national daylight saving law and endorsed a more democratic jury selection process.

Reverend Leonard Garver ends over two years as Colville Congregational pastor on July first to lead Sprague's newly organized community church He expects a larger field and will earn 1800 dollars there His Colville tenure included wartime Four Minute Man work and no successor has been chosen yet
