Democrats At Spokane Convention Elect Historic Delegates
The Spokane state Democratic convention drew over a thousand delegates two days, with women forming about half the votes and taking a lead in the party’s future. Delegates from Stevens county included G. W. Eastman and J. Harrigan among others, as the body adopted a radical platform and chose A. R. Titlow and Mrs. Elizabeth D. Christian for national roles. Moe—Adoo led the test ballot for presidential nomination with Cox as vice president favorite.
