Colville area drought sets a new June precipitation record with less than 0.1 inch. Normal June rain is 1.48 inches. previous lows were 0.35 in 1900, 0.50 in 1918, and 0.70 in 1917. Temperatures ranged to 97, down to 28, with 19 clear days and 3 cloudy. Alfalfa crops show stress across the Colville valley and neighboring districts due to the dry spell.
