Stevens County Pioneers Meet in Annual Session
The seventh annual Stevens County Pioneer Association reunion on Thursday in Colville drew 300 people to the skating rink. Mayor Sax welcomed pioneers and discussed their role in settlement, with David Thompson’s Kettle Falls discovery highlighted as a civilization milestone. Attendees heard Col. J. M. Fish invite the group to celebrate Kettle Falls’ 100th anniversary in 1911, and Attorney J. A. Rochford gave the principal address before elders traded frontier stories.
