E C Conner becomes mayor and plans to appoint Sid F Raines. several incumbents are re elected or replaced as the council tackles long term improvement work and rolls for assessment districts. Special meetings follow to confirm rolls and appointive officers.
Mrs. Clara Marie Skidmore died at her Colville valley farm from heart trouble after a week of illness. She was 55, born January 8, 1866 in Diamond Bluff Wisconsin. Survived by husband A. E. Skidmore and sons E. A. L. M. and R. E. Skidmore. Funeral at the M E church with Rev. C. E. Whitten officiating. Interment at Highland amid pallbearers from local neighbors.

Colville Athletic Club beat Northwest Magnesite of Chewelah 29 to 15 in Colville gym. Oberhansly led scoring with 9, followed by Werni 6, Smith 4, Seal 4, Lynch 4, Inman 2. Referee illness forced substitute officiating. Colville plans a rematch in Chewelah tonight. The club will compete under American Amateur Athletic Association rules.

Sperry as Master of Finance W. C. Wilwock as Master of Exchequer B. E. Stringham as Keeper of Records and Seal Warwick Stewart as Master at Arms Harry Rice as Inner Guard Barney Smith as Outer Guard and W. W. Campbell as Installing Officer.
