Fire Destroys Lasswell Home in January Colville Conflagration
The Lasswell residence, home to I. J. Lasswell of Colville Loan and Trust, burned Friday night amid strong winds. Firefighters faced delays as hoses lengthened from a distant hydrant, sparking alarms about hydrant knowledge and nonmember involvement. Only minor items survived, including a bedroom chest. piano and silver were lost.
