The Colville band held meetings deciding to operate as a self supporting group without Chamber of Commerce funding. They plan dances and concerts to raise maintenance funds and offer free beginner classes for members who own their own instrument.
At a Tuesday meeting the Colville city council began a clean up program ordering the demolition of Anderson's barn on First Avenue and cleaning and sewer connection for Fleugel's barn on South Main Street. Health officer Dr. J W Henderson reported 20 residents not sewer connected and the council moved to compel connections. J H King was appointed police judge to succeed James Petty. In routine business W W Campbell was allowed 50 for clerk records work and the treasurer noted insufficient funds to pay Dr Henderson and Mr Hobbs 150 for street work. the bill had been approved earlier.
Mr and Mrs McCord hosted about thirty friends for an impromptu community theater at home. Local residents portrayed roles in a three act spoof of a film titled Bettys Career with cast including Miss Mary Mantz and Wm C Keller and a wedding scene featuring Rev J M Huggins and Fatty Arbuckle impersonations.
Leonardo Carver known as E C Durdle led a wedding night event with Glen Crewse as official photographer. Costumed participants, play scripts for guests, and light refreshments marked a festive evening with performers improvising their parts.
Dr. W F Diffenbacher installs Colville’s first dental X ray unit, a Victor machine, to locate infections and verify work. The device photographs teeth and jaws in minutes using low amperage to prevent burns.

D H Kimple contractor installs a 26 horsepower motor replacing 10 hp to boost custom work in his Colville shop. He has expanded through multiple locations, remodeling store fronts and bank buildings, and designs millwork and architectural features with high quality craftsmanship.
Alvin Ginder of Colville was killed while cutting trees near Old Dominion. A tree he had cut fell on him while he was alone. he died en route to a hospital after being found in the woods. He was 56, survived by a wife and four children. Funeral held at the Christian church with Rev Ball officiating.
Stevens County assigns 60 orphans at $60 each totaling 8600 for the Armenian Relief Fund to be raised in March. The local committee clarifies this is separate from the Hoover fund for starving European children. District chairmen and a Colville treasurer are named to organize the drive.
Reports indicate Colville will see two new gas stations in the same block one by Geo C Allen north of the Leonard store and the other by Herbert Krueger south of the Leonard store The Chewelah Auto company will handle Buicks in Chewelah and the Northport garage will handle Buicks in Northport Ford shops in Detroit resume part time work on December 31 with limited staff The Colville Mercantile Company bought a new Ford truck to move merchandise to the Lasswell building Bossburg to host a Valentine dance on February 12 at the I O O F hall.
