Fisherman J. D. Goakey Celebrates 76th Birthday on Last Fishing Day
J. D. Goakey marked his 76th birthday by fishing at the lakes on the season's final day, joined by H. C. Masterson. Red Cross Nurse Reports November Work in Colville
Miss Lillas Grey, community nurse, visited 20 schools in Colville in November. She examined 339 children, referred 90 to a dentist, 27 to an oculist, and 111 to physicians. Among 3839 children, 57 were undernourished. Some country schools had poor light, forcing eye exams outdoors, though teachers cooperation was strong.
