Washington October 26 Attorney General McKenna said the government would ask courts to delay the Union Pacific sale to December 15 to allow more bidders. The Reorganization Committee pledged to raise bids, with Winslow Pierce seeking new terms. prospects for surpassing the government claim remain uncertain amid open bidding fears.
The Union Pacific reorganization committee announced that the attorney general may ask the court to adjourn the foreclosure sale of the Nanser Partie and Union Pacific Railway to December 15 to avoid delaying Congress.
