A group of men spent a recreation day at Frank Enberoth’s fishing camp near Oscar Elliott’s saw mill. Attendees listed include Herman Vonstrohe Joe Brocka Morris Spinner Col. Smith Tom Brown Capt. Graves Frank Enberoth and Alex Craning.
The dance date by the City Band has been rescheduled to Monday October 18 at City Hall.
Yesterday afternoon the office learned Albert Dunn was still living but without hopes of recovery. Bob Wilson went to jail yesterday morning for failing to pay a $55.25 fine for violating the liquor law.
The first opening meeting of the Women’s Musical will be held in the lecture room of the Presbyterian church Friday evening.
Hubert Seward a Lehman clerk in the dry goods department is off duty a couple of days due to sickness. The infant son of Daniel I Carmichael and wife of Walesboro died Monday night and was buried Tuesday afternoon. The band boys dance at the city hall next Monday night and the whole band will play. Deputy State Fish Commissioner Joseph Gable reported one conviction out of eleven fish law cases at Boottsburg with about $60 paid. Norval Stroierr eleven son of William Springer and wife died of typhoid fever at the family home in Elizabethtown Monday night funeral today at 2 from the Christian church at Elizabethtown. Burial at Springer Cemetery.

At Galveston Texas on October 11 the Choynski Bernau boxing match ends in favor of the Californian after a fourth round exchange. Choynski led from the start and floored Bernau twice in the fourth. Bernau claimed to be hurt.
The Greensburg News reports that a contract for piping gas to the city has been awarded and residents can expect fuel for lighting and heating to be furnished in the near future as a secure provision.
The Ministerial Association met in the M C A rooms and elected President Rev. G. L. Curtiss Secretary Rev. Fuller Swift and Treasurer E. W. Titus to form the executive committee for six months. An inquest by County Coroner Booker concluded Wesley Nading killed his wife Kate Nading during a mental crisis. Critchfield to speak at the Christian church urging a packed audience.
Notice announces that the comedy drama Our Step Husband starring Osborne and Baron will premiere in the city tomorrow at Crump’s Theatre with new scenery and a strong supporting company. Del Crane a Michigan traveling lumber salesman and Mrs. Charles Carter eloped from Chesterfield two weeks ago on a tandem bicycle. Harry Israel from Trafalgar boarded the 4:40 train for the south. Early Sunday morning three men attempted a robbery near Blizzard alley by the station. Israel drew a revolver and fired, driving the attackers back. Five or six shots were exchanged with no injuries reported.
