Beginning January 1 1897 the Weekly Courier Journal becomes the Twice-Weekly Courier Journal with Wednesday and Saturday editions. Each issue expands to six or twelve pages weekly, totaling 104 pages per year. The price remains 14 per year and Henry Watterson will edit editorials during the year.
