A new comet was discovered just after midnight in Pisces by C. D. Perrine at Lick Observatory. It lies at right ascension hours 54 minutes and declination 6 degrees 30 minutes north, about eighth magnitude bright, visible with moderate telescope. It has a sharp nucleus near 11th magnitude and a diameter of five arc minutes with a brief fan shaped tail, moving rapidly east and south.
