Friday morning at 12 30 o clock F W Armstrong longtime Indianapolis insurance man died at his home 1532 Broadway after a ten day illness He was in his fifty fifth year and survived by his wife He had moved from Brazil Clay county fifteen years ago and served as state agent for Mechanics Insurance Company of Newark and was active in the State Fire Underwriter Association His death followed heart trouble linked to rheumatism and neuralgia over ten days of illness

Fire Destroys Three Indianapolis Plants in Morning Blaze
A Friday dawn blaze razed the old street car stables on New Jersey Street south of Tenth in Indianapolis, destroying the building and machinery of three firms Metallic Manufacturing, Puritan Spring Bed, and Barney Roller Chain. Estimated losses exceed 109000 with $35000, $25000, $30000 and $25000 burned respectively. Parry Manufacturing partially burned. The incident follows a pattern of insurance capital concentration in the city.
Operation Performed on George Conn at City Hospital
George Conn a clerk at the Hirth grocery underwent an operation for enlargement of the jaw bone by Dr. Banker at City Hospital with good recovery expected. Bowery Dance Planned Near Walesboro Sept 15
A Bowery dance is planned for September 15 in Newton's Wood Old Bowery Grove with a 14 by 60 foot floor. Managers promise an orderly event with no objectionable characters and a good time for attendees. The grove lies five miles southwest of Columbus, one mile west of Waynesville Walesboro, and five miles east of Wymansville.
