Pigeons were stolen from Billy Anderson the shoemaker yesterday afternoon. Bloodhounds led to Jesse Watson on Wilson Street. a search warrant found seven birds at Watson’s, six more at a nearby house. Watson Jr. and another boy to be charged. Albert Dunn who was shot at Amity and thought near death yesterday recovered enough to leave his home and spend much of the day in his store. Doctors previously warned of serious injury but Dunn now shows signs of continued recovery, with his condition improving and a full return to health anticipated.

A horse was cut loose from the hitching rack in Hartsville on Sunday night the harness cut to pieces and the horse allowed to run away. The strong arm of the law over there is questioned in the Hope Record.

Columbus volunteers organize committees to stage a large G. A. H. encampment next summer. Sey. Rep. Nawn and manager Robert Ful gora watched Opie Read in Milwaukee and agreed to adapt Read's sketch into a three act play. Indiana Southern Section Men Rebuild Evansville & Richmond Line

Indiana Southern workers along the Evansville and Richmond railroad rebuild and repair the line. They buy close-ties and lumber, cash payments made. A through freight arrangement with the Big Four may route freight trains to Greensburg as eastern terminal, with a daily Cincinnati to Evansville passenger train via Greensburg and Big Four. Ohio Governor and Presidential Vote Totals Revealed

The official Ohio vote tallies show Bushnell winning governor as Republican with 429,816 votes over Chap man Democrat 401,715 and Holiday Prohibition 558. Other candidates include Coxey 6,255 Dexter 1,661 Watkins 4,242 Lewis 476 and Liberty 3,107. Bushnell leads by 28,101. For president McKinley tops Bryan 525,991 to 474,982 with minor totals for third parties. McKinley’s plurality is 51,109.
