Minneapolis firm Ayers Asphalt Paving Co completes a $30,000 local paving project and heads to Minneapolis as the lowest bidder on 60,000 yards of asphalt. They charged $1.59 per square yard here, versus $2.10 in Minneapolis, and their local work is praised for thoroughness and satisfaction.

At 7 this morning an empty special train departed for Madison to haul a fat cattle carload bound for the Chicago market. Train 18 on the Louisville division of the Pennsylvania lines was scheduled Louisville to Indianapolis in three hours ten minutes but left Louisville late and completed the run in two hours twenty minutes.
The annual Alumni banquet occurred Wednesday night at the Hotel Belvedere with three classes of the alumni present to honor celebrated members. Toasts featured include The High School, The Class of Ninety eight, Our Toldier Boys, and The alumni with notable speakers such as Prof. Samuel Wertz and Kent Cooper.
