A 15 year old youth, Carl Ed Offenberger, was killed near Seymour while attempting to board a freight train on the B and O S W lines. He missed his hold, fell, and was crushed under the wheels just in front of the depot, suffering both leg injuries.
Four persons tried this morning by Mayor Beck for intoxication. William Burrill and Orlando Fortner pleaded guilty with fines and costs of nine dollars each. John Lacy pled guilty.
