Billy Moore and Benny Ping conspired to rob Lehman’s Department Store last night. Police officer Joe Warner found Moore in the cellar with goods valued around twenty seven dollars. Ping fled but was later arrested at his parents’ home. Both men confessed. Moore implicated Ping, and both were bound over to the grand jury after a preliminary hearing before Mayor Beck.
