Accident leaves man with serious injuries near St Louis Cross
Report of a collision yesterday where Frank Ferry was thrown from a wagon and landed on his head and shoulders near St Louis Cross while en route to a sale at Dr. Cox's. Detroit May 30 The Fort Street Presbyterian general assembly paused in grief as Judge Samuel M Breckinridge of St Louis collapsed during his defense of the committee report on Dr Briggs appointment. Despite medical aid he died from heart failure, casting a somber mood over the Briggs controversy and prompting tributes and a postponed banquet.

Watta Warua May 30 The sheriff has arrested soldiers implicated in the lynching of Hunt Patrick McDonald Charles E Trum Power Joseph H Trumpower Berman C troop C A Cutter and James Evans indicted for first degree murder. Prisoners were moved from the garrison to the city under guard by Col. Compton and jailed as deputies guard the facility amid rumors of possible arrests. No danger is feared and conditions remain quiet.
