Monument to Francis Scott Key to stand at Mount Olivet

A monument by sculptor Alexander Doyle of New York will honor Francis Scott Key at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Baltimore. Unveiling is planned for June 14, 1898, with a 9 foot bronze Key atop a granite pedestal and a bronze patriotism group at the base. Maryland funds supported the project, with many small gifts from across the country.
