Two Women Die After Crossing Tracks in Grafton

On a Friday afternoon in Grafton Nebraska two women, Mrs. A. M. Tatro and Mrs. G. H. Haney, were struck by an approaching train while attempting to cross a railroad track. Both died instantly or at once, with authorities noting no identifiable cause beyond the accident.

Lumber Blaze Destroys Ten Million Feet at Cloquet Yard

A Friday afternoon fire at the C. N. Nelson Lumber Company yard in Cloquet, Durutis, Minn, consumed at least 10,000,000 feet of high grade lumber. The loss is put at about $150,000 with $100,000 insured. The mill reportedly escaped and other yards may be saved. The blaze is believed to have started from a spark from the mill.

Remarkable starvation case ends with death in Indiana town

Elizabeth McVey of Rose Hill died Friday in Wapsasa Ind after forty three days without any food. Dr Tanner, who treated the patient, was with her a day before death and could not identify the illness. A post muffed examination by physicians will seek to reveal the disease.
