Massive San Francisco Fire Destroys Mills Homes After Powder Explosion
The city suffered its worst blaze in decades after a warehouse explosion sent four kegs of powder airborne. Fire crews from San Francisco Oakland and Alameda fought the flames through Fourth Street and the water-front with bay water and Southern Pacific pumps. Over 50 dwellings burned and 300 families were made homeless as fires raged from late evening until nine forty five. No verified death toll yet though injuries occurred among firefighters.

Deadly Minneapolis fire at McDonald Bros building
