Editor Koerner and speakers oppose the law arguing it unjustly limits civil and religious liberty and impedes parental control over schooling. They pledge repeal and unite across parties and nationalities to defend private and parochial education.
About 150 importers from New York City and other cities appeared before the Senate finance committee to protest the McKinley tariff bill. The delegation, led by J. M.
