Bryan welcomes crowds in Indianapolis campaign stop

William Jennings Bryan drew vast crowds in Indianapolis greeting trains at Union Station and addressing thousands from Tomlinson Hall and the Grand Hotel balcony. Mayor Taggart introduced him and the bimetallism talk drew strong applause as supporters and skeptics packed the city. The daylong visit ended with Bryan meeting supporters and detouring through parlor gatherings.

Dispensary Case Likely To Go To Supreme Court

Senator Tillman said Washington that South Carolina will appeal Judge Simonton's decision in the dispensary case to the Supreme Court of the United States. He stated the state has exhausted its remedies and would seek a new federal act if the high court sustains the ruling.

Ebaugh & Johnson Tile Factory Burns Near Seymore

A blaze around noon destroyed the Ebaugh and Johnson tile factory and adjacent dryhouses seven miles from Seymore Indiana, with damage estimates not yet available and no immediate reports of injuries. The fire, believed to have started in one of the dryhouses, drew crews from nearby towns to battle the flames.

Seymoua Ind June 1 This afternoon about 3 o clock just as the funeral services of the late John Meyers who was killed by falling from his train Sunday were concluded Grant Cole of this city was killed in a like manner When his train reached Delaware a small station on the B and O a short distance from this city he was walking over the train and fell between two box cars and was cut in two He was about thirty years old and he leaves a wife.

White River Bridge Burns In Indiana Fire

A covered bridge over White river in Stencen Indiana burned today causing about 10000 dollars in losses. Insurance paid totals show 5000 dollars with 1000 from Pennsylvania 2000 from Vernon and 22000 from Indiana. Fire alarm to destruction took ten minutes.
