A severe storm struck St Louis and East St Louis early Monday, causing heavy damage and a rising death and missing toll. Police report 124 missing, with 196 known dead in St. Louis and 145 in East St. Louis. relief districts receive funds to aid the affected residents.
The president signs acts including incorporation of the national university and pensions for Matilda Gresham and Nathan Kimball. Alaska seeks congressional representation and delegates plan to push a territorial delegate in the Republican platform. A friend aided in securing a license claiming the groom was 21. Allen fired after Riley fired at him, killing Riley. Allen is jailed claiming self defense. The incident causes great excitement. In Brazi Staunton a merchant Philip Boor was robbed of a $100 purse after four about eight year old boys asked to ride. The money was divided, James House returned most funds. Edward Quinn was later brought in with bulk of cash recovered. Two boys remain at large.
