Dressgoods offer wool cloths at 29 cents per yard for 36 inch width and 65 count cloth at low prices. Limited stock advertised with emphasis on fabric quality and width.
Big stock of ladies gloves in sizes six to six and a half offered in all shades with prices from 75 cents to 1.25 dollars, reduced to 39 cents. The ad promotes a clearance style sale targeting shoppers seeking discounted kid gloves.
In Columbus a large fresh shipment of shoes worth 410000 has hit the market at unusually low prices. The stock moves quickly as buyers snatch up the goods, and officials warn the supply remains large though destined to sell within a short window.
New York Feb 19. Generals Howard Butterfield Slocum lead funeral order for Sherman. Escort units include US Marines engineers artillery and National Guard cavalry. Remains to be received at 75 West 71st Street at 2 p m Thursday with pallbearers and Grand Army of the Republic detachment.
