Italian American Line to Start Transatlantic Passenger Service

Navigazione Generale Italiana, the largest Italian steamship company, announces a new transatlantic passenger service. The first Sempione voyage from Naples and Genoa carried 400 passengers. Archimede will depart Naples on March 4 to begin regular service.

Casualties in Texas From Cold Weather Toll

Powder blast kills one in Moss Grove derail project

One man died and five others were seriously hurt in a powder explosion at Moss Grove on the Huffalo Rochester and Pittsburgh railroad construction site. The blast occurred as workers blasted rocks and is believed to have been caused by a spark igniting a keg of powder.
