Tragic Theatre Fire Panic Kills Nine Children
A deadly theater stampede in Gateshead Durham followed a fire alarm during a Saturday Aladdin pantomime. At least ten people died, nine children among them, as crowds crushed toward exits while a brave usher and others tried to restrain the panic.
