Ex Police Lieutenants Convicted in Rio Grande Train Robbery Case

Ex-Lieutenant James Connor of Denver James Marshall of Kansas City and Charles Connors were sentenced for conspiring to rob a Rio Grande train. Connor and Marshall received two years in jail and a 4500 fine each. Connors got one year and a 500 fine.

Secretary Windom Sends 1891 Budget Totals

Wasuixetox Dec 4 Secretary Windom has transmitted to Congress the estimates of appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30 1891. The grand total is 341 428 977 dollars an increase of 17 962 459 dollars over 1890. Pensions and public works show the largest rises.

Seventeen men injured after sleeper capsized on Sag’s camp flatcar

About thirty workers at Sag's camp started for a pre-dawn shift when a sleeper overhung the track collapsed onto the flatcar. Seventeen men were injured with four brought to the hospital, one with a broken leg and another with an ear torn off.
