Miss Louisa Mary Arnin, 94, died at Monroe County Nursing Home Waterloo on Wednesday October 26. Born December 4, 1871 in Columbia she never married and was a member of St Paul United Church of Christ. Burial at St Paul Cemetery with services at 2 p.m. Rev G A Friz will officiate. Survived by several nieces and nephews.

Millstadt Man Dies Of Gunshot Wound
Alvin Germann, 67, a retired Hunter Packing Co. employee, died of a gunshot wound to the head at Belleville Memorial Hospital. He lived in a Millstadt house trailer on R R 1 and was found by his niece Patty Germann near his home Monday evening. A .22 caliber rifle was found and an inquest is pending.

New Interstate Bridge Set to Open October 27

Monroe County Historical Society hosted Styles Through 150 Years at Waterloo Grade School showcasing dresses from 1818 to 1966. The exhibit featured christening gowns wedding dresses and sportswear with gowns dating to 1852 and 1966 and included a 50 year old baseball uniform.
