Day Camp at Konarcik Park a Summer Success
River Bluffs Girl Scout Council held a five day day camp at Konarcik Park Waterloo July 24 to 28 with a theme The American Indian. Camp director Mrs Eugene Linker and staff oversaw reduced overnight facilities due to weather. Cadettes led the campfire program while Brownies Juniors and Cadettes attended classes in pottery archery and an astronomy program at Waterloo Columbia and Red Bud delegations including transport by local school buses. Communications noted rain limited camping but many Scouts gained outdoor experience and memories.
