Thirty Veterans Leave For Confederate Reunion
At 10 o'clock this afternoon a special car under the charge of Mr L Jones will depart from the Louisville and Nashville railroad for Washington for the Confederate reunion. Thirty or more veterans and their friends will ride the car. The party will pause briefly in Cincinnati tomorrow to attend church, then proceed to Washington arriving early Monday morning. Among the veterans are John M Andrews, Joe F Ballanfant, Biffle Hunt, and Robert Heram.

Head Fires Five Shots In Night Clash At Station

TWO SPECIAL CARS TAKE VETERANS 10 REUNION AT CAPITAL
Two Pullman cars attached to the 5 10 train carried Confederate Veterans and visitors to the Washington reunion. The party arrived at 7 80 this morning and will be away about a week. John L Jones directed the trip with comfort and convenience arranged for the veterans and their friends. The group includes Fleming brothers Spring Hill W C Walker and many others. The Maury county party rode in one car while the other held veterans and sightseers from Florence Tuscumbia and Sheffield Alabama.

London report says sixteen German planes crossed the North Sea Tuesday evening and dropped bombs on Essex and Kent villages. Fourteen returned, two shot down by British guns. Two killed and twenty nine injured in the district. Germans were met by swift British air and anti aircraft fire after precautions following a prior southeast coast raid with heavy casualties.

Death of W. M. Harbison at Water Valley
W. M. Harbison died at his home near Water Valley after a long illness on Tuesday night. He was buried at Akin Academy graveyard with services by Rev. Dr. Cox of the Nazarene church. Survived by his wife and three children, including son William J. Harbison, a Columbia lawyer. He was esteemed in the community and a devout Nazarene.
