Primary Board of 1918 Must Act This Year
The Daily Herald reports Secretary Hugh Todd Shelton will convene a meeting Monday to name officers for the 1918 primary. The old board, appointed two years ago, is the only lawful board, with Charles P. Hatcher away on business and other members listed. Shelton aims for legal publication of officers ten days before the election, seeking bona fide representation for legislative candidates amid uncertain status of the new board.
