Mrs N A Dunbar moved into the Dale cottage on West Sixth street. An alarm at J P Wakefield residence proved to be a chimney fire. Dr KA Timmons hosted a five course banquet for Metropolitan Life Insurance staff at Unles place in the Masonic building. A runaway team on West Seventh and South Main caused excitement, passing through a crowd with no damage. Neil Hughes will move into the Athenaeum property house on March 1. A lost ladies band bag and heavy lap robe were reported between the depot and West Seventh street. Merchants reported strong Christmas trade, with two notably brisk days on Saturday and Monday.
