From New York dispatches Aug 15 a Trinidad special reports the city of Bolivar fallen to the Legalistas after a fierce engagement. About 4400 Legalistas under Generals Hernandez and Gil faced government forces, who refused surrender and retreated in disorder. Each side losses near 500 men.
