Carter names Blumenthal to Treasury

Fire department burns old garage for equipment drill

St George City Fire Department used an abandoned garage at 600 South and Main Street for practice drills. Two firemen tested the new equipment from a crow's nest built amid the rubble as the owner requested the blaze. Fire Chief Joe Empey said it beats being woke in the night to respond to a real fire.
