Area residents back Gilmore execution in phone response
In St George a local committee set up a telephone line to gauge support for the Gary Gilmore execution. By Saturday afternoon more than 350 calls were logged with all callers endorsing carrying out the sentence. Some officials questioned whether the calls would influence the courts.
