Boy Lost Sparks Community Search in Cokeville

Louis Roberts, son of Fred Roberts, vanished after leaving to chase horses north of town. A large, hourlong search by car and on foot found him safe the next morning, ending a tense scare. Texas Buyer Seeks Ramboulette Bucks for California Ranch

Purchasing agent M. Kelley representing a major Texas livestock firm visited early this week to buy a car load of Ramboulette bucks from the Quealy Peterson company. Ten of the bucks were shipped to California to stock a progressive ranch there.

Opening Roads From Mine City Advances Ore Shipment

Copper is being found in large quantities at the thin mine with assays running very high. Road openings from the mine city are underway and ore shipments will begin in a few days.

General Manager Buckingham reports lush reports from Wyoming with abundant grazing and good alfalfa yielding strong stock prospects. County Road Plans Progress Across Cokeville Afton Loop

County Commissioners Peter son and Papworth return from Kemmerer reporting the Cokeville to Afton road in good condition with further work ahead. A crew works from Smoot toward the county and a convict gang handles Salt Canyon toward Afton. The Bennion ranch stretch will be gravelled. Road Supervisor W C Roberts leads the project and earns credit for the effort.

The Cokeville Land and Live Stock company finished dipping its sheep early this week and the flock is now en route to the summer range near the head of Fall River.

Copper prospects near Horse Creek spark Montpelier mining effort

Several Montpelier residents are mining copper at a site on Horse Creek about 15 miles from the city. The ore has been known for 85 years but not proven profitable. A carload will be shipped for assay soon. if profitable, the mine will be developed extensively with gold and silver found in smaller amounts.
