Mrs Gray of Cheyenne reports a radical shift as hostilities end and large nurse intakes are reduced. Accepted candidates will be placed with delays. current positions may be held or withdrawn with prompt notice. Some assignments are uncertain, possibly early next year, and exact enrollment figures must be confirmed.
About 35 000 farm tractors are now used in the United States, enabling farmers to produce large crops despite labor and horsepower shortages. They replace 1 500 000 horses and mules and 250 000 men serving in the army, preparing ground and aiding crop cultivation and harvest.
L A Woodward becomes sole owner of the Cokeville saloon business once run by the late Win Wyman. The court sold the property for 7000 dollars after Wyman's will left the saloon to Woodward, who owns Mrs Wyman. A 3000 dollar mortgage on the saloon and nearby Kemmerer jewelry store property was paid off and released.

Tom Williams well known sheep herder died in his room at the Haggerty Hotel annex from acute gastritis. He awoke Shorty James around 3 am asking for help, was found dead with burial Thursday at the local cemetery. Williams had worked for Bennion brothers and later Quealy Sheep Co. Undertaker Fuller handled the remains.
Cokeville Red Cross mobilizes aid for Afton flu outbreak with a Denver nurse heading the emergency hospital at the Wyoming Hotel. Drs Schils and Madera delivered training and support while Cokeville Chapter supplied oxygen tanks medicines and supplies as 250 cases are reported.
