Joseph J. Carollo, Diamondville wholesale liquor merchant, dies at Holy Cross hospital Salt Lake City after a year of health decline and a pneumonia illness. Born October 1860 in Lugho Italy, he moved to Diamondville seventeen years ago and built a prominent local business. Funeral services were held at St Patrick's Church Kemmerer with many attendees from across the region. He leaves a wife two sons two daughters and a brother in Sunrise Wyoming.

A scholarly sermon followed by a reception at Mrs J G Reynolds home honored the Bishop and Mrs Thomas with gracious hospitality and praise for the mission Guild. A dinner at Mr and Mrs Ben H Smalley’s residence concluded the events with ten covers and an excellent elaborate menu. The Bishop and Mrs Thomas departed on the Midnight train after their visit to Cokeville.

Cokeville Afton Transportation Company Stockholders Meet

A meeting of Cokeville Afton Transportation stockholders was held at the Opera House last Tuesday afternoon. Discussion focused on adding auto trucks to the route with a decision expected at the next Board of Directors meeting. Joe Kinney and Frank May were elected to the board to replace resignations of J BeNoblitt and Bari Haggerty.

Parents and Teachers Meeting to Organize Association

The last Parents-Teachers meeting of the year is set for Monday evening May 1 at the school house. The event will organize a Parents-Teachers Association for next year and feature a musical program with refreshments. An Annual School Meeting will elect a director, vote funds for the coming year, and address other business. Parents are urged to attend to discuss policy and support the schools.
