Red Cross Stall At Coffs Harbour Raises funds
The Coffs Harbour Red Cross Society stall on Saturday raised a net amount for the parcel o ies competition won by Mr Shaw Bo Coffs Harbour. Mrs Crawford, branch president, thanks donors and the many ladies who staffed the stall and sold Red Cross buttons, and the public for generous patronage.

Old Tunes enliven Cabaret at Park Beach
Old time melodies energized the Cabaret Ball organized by the Women's Auxiliary of the RSL at Park Beach on Friday night. The event raised substantial funds for the Auxiliary with cocktails before the show and decorative lucky lesters for guests. Pullen's Orchestra provided music while RSL members staffed the doors and assisted with supper served by Auxiliary volunteers.

Five Jewies Landed at Coffs
Jewies were biting well at Coffs over the weekend with a 60lb jewie landed by W Bailey on Hill's Beach near Korora using a 21lb line. A second 54lb jewie was caught by A Lethbridge. A Sydney party, including Dr Bird and Clive Firth, landed a 47lb jewie off Moonee Beach. Several locals landed 2lb to during the period.
