Hints on Winter Motoring From NRMA

With winter approaching the NRMA urges motorists in cold areas to take precautions. Chief engineer C H Napthali advises draining radiator and block if cars are left overnight or using antifreeze with a six to four water glycerine mix. Check for leaks, keep carburation ignition and lubrication tuned, lubricate chassis, and carry tyre chains with correct pressures. Add insulation between mats and floor for warmth.
