Local repatriation work pioneer Gordon Patterson years of service
Gordon Patterson born 1905 at Killarney Queensland pursued teaching retiring officer and wartime leader. He served over five years rising to Lt Colonel and after May 1945 joined the reserve. June 1945 posted to Coffs Harbour and became secretary of the local Repatriation Committee formed November 1945. He has assisted hundreds of returned soldiers in rehabilitation.
