New Town Desmet Designation Near Coeur d Alene Reservation
Officers of the local land office report that the Interior Secretary designated Lot 14, Township 44, Range 6 WHBM as a new townsite on the Coeur d Alene Indian Reservation. The townsite will cover 120 persons, be surveyed, and offered at public auction at a price not less than appraised value after notification. Earlier, Sept 10 notice alerted readers of the library, with Sept 20 return deadline.

Laying Out New Townsite by Covar d'Alune Indians
Government engineers survey land adjoining the Covard Alune Indian reservation near El Maries Idaho. The townsite will lie along the St Joe river with most lots on the south side. It aims to provide 400 lots of uniform size for residential use and commercial development. The St Maries Land Company seeks sidewalk rights and permits to build three brick buildings on Front street. Excavations and basements will proceed, with stone foundations hauled this winter and buildings erected next spring.
