Plan to move Aldrich bill after La Follette speech in Senate
Washington reports that after Senator La Follette condemned the Aldrich currency bill a plan formed for Senator Aldrich to proceed with the measure. La Follette argued a few dozen men dominate industry and warned that trust consolidation has centralized power, naming Rockefeller and Morgan as central figures and listing a founder list of fourteen magnates and numerous bankers and lawyers in the system. He urged progressive senators to unite against perceived Wall Street control while lawmakers raised concerns over existing statutes addressing derelict bank chief officers.
