A fragment describes fifty native bred work horned animals from southern Idaho offered for inspection and trial by Elwell and McWilliams for valued horses and roadsters. The notice mentions first class animals and references a local journalist and periodicals with unclear lines about wind and a woman’s magazine.
Five year old Merbert Kiema drowned in the Utah river while brothers Henry Carl, 7, and Herbert, 5, played along the bank. Carl narrowly escaped with rescue by bystanders after Merbert disappeared, and Herbert vanished too late to save. The youngest child’s mother grieves as funeral arrangements are set for Kiema home.
The Idaho Northern Railroad and the Coeur d'Alene Mining Company settled past disputes over right of way enabling rapid construction from Murray to Enaville. P. McD Fuller and W. P. Smith will open six to seven new camps near Murray, employing 600 to 700 workers. The line will cross placer lands for about 10 miles with grading awaiting settlement. Rail traffic is expected to reach Murray by Christmas despite ongoing prep work.
In Honolulu on July 24 a drive to form a naval reserve force began, mainly drawing from native Hawaiians. Officers of the Atlantic battleship met to discuss the plan, which received wide approval. Hawaiians were seen as ideal for naval service because of adaptability to sea duty.

All conveyances show nominal sums and standard lot descriptions in townships 53 and 52 with various sections and coordinates.
New York July reports from executives of United States Steel Corporation subsidiaries indicate a gradual rise in business. President W. S. Corey said most steel plants are operating at about 66 percent of finishing capacity with more capacity to come online as conditions warrant.
