New Look Arrives in Paris Fashion 1948 Trends
Paris designers unveil the new look for summer with sloping shoulders and curved hips softened by subtle corsetry. Blues, checks, and white trims dominate, with Carven emphasizing green accents and romanced by native costume influences. Bustle hints appear in basques and back fullness while embroidered muslin and lace give lingerie a primed, feminine silhouette. Cotton remains prized, guiding practical yet stylish underlayers and muslin detailing across dresses and coats.
