Mrs McLean relict of the late William McLean died at her Katamatite residence on Tuesday morning. A longtime district figure aged 79 she joined Naring Presbyterian Church in 1876 and participated actively, cutting the church cake at last year’s golden jubilee. Interment was in Ketamatite Cemetery on Wednesday. Survived by Allan Donald Hector May and Myra.
Tuesday evening event at Yarro We Yah Hospital Ball drew over eighty five couples in masks and capes. The Berrigan Orchestra played to crowded, well decorated halls with rainbow streamers greenery and flowers. Winners were Miss Keamny and Miss McFarlane with partners as competitions entertained guests. Supper by the ladies concluded a festive 1936 hospital ball.
