Cobram supporters hoped the Tigers would end their long outs run but Tocumwal proved too strong winning by a comfortable margin. Cobram finished 12.17 to 8.6 after a burst of dashing play and accurate forward work, though Tocumwal held the edge throughout.
Tocumwal applied pressure in the final term to edge Cobram with four goals to Cobram's two. Quarter by quarter scores show a tight contest as Tocumwal players Scanlon Fuller Haley Harris Hawkins and Blight led the effort while Cobram's Koopman Woods Johnson H Butt and Buncle starred. In the curtain raiser Cobram's third eighteen beat Tocumwal 11.9 to 3.2.

Best players included Berrigan Ednie Barnes Keam Mickle Dalton Cobram Koopman Butt Jackson Rhodes Shanahan Jerilderie. Yarrawonga leads the ladder with Barooga second, Berrigan third, Cobram and Tocumwal tied for fourth.
G Steward wins the stroke handicap in the A division at Cobram Barooga with 86 off the stick. E Gemmill takes the B division with a nett 61, while a long list of players including R Gedye J Wiltshire and J Jones posted various scores in the event.
