Numurkah High School Faces Strong Showings in First Round
Numurkah High School played a mixed bag of results against Shepparton combinations in the opening round of the North Eastern District Secondary Schools Sports Association. The basketball team won 17 to 12, hockey was drawn 2 all, and football lost 20 to 5.5. Notable players included Helen Murdoch with 11 goals in basketball and Pat Walsh aiding Jennie Farrall's two goals in hockey.
